Today's Dilemna

I'm been informed that I am running out of checks.  Well I know that because my checkbook told me so.  REORDER NOW.  Now if you're like me the only thing you use checks for anymore is to pay for a doctor visit, maybe a birthday present for a niece or nephew, the occasional water bill or local utility payment that hasn't jumped into an on-line bill payment service yet.

So really how often do you write a check?  I'm guessing the check printing business is getting kind a slow lately which is probably why they've come up with 100's of designs for your checks.

So what kind of design do you want on your check? According to the check website I can have Family Guy on my checks.  But what does that really say about me?  At one point in my life I did have Dog's Playing Poker but that was more a conversation piece.  You can certainly support any number of diseases/causes but really how much of the money gets to those places.  And if I want to donate money to a charity I'll just send it right to them (maybe write them a check).

Checks with shoes, dogs, cats, disney characters, betty boop, seasame street, john deere or we would go with Jesus or Happy Bunny (both did make the Customer Favories page).  And how come I can get a city skylines of San Franciso and Dallas, but not of Chicago - doesn't seem right.

In the end while the picture of Homer Simpson right in the middle of my checks seemed tempting I went with the white check with a slight rainbow of colors around the edge.  Guess it just shows I'm getting old.
